About Morning Star:
Morning Star is songwriter / multi-instrumentalist Jesse D. Vernon, who released his album A Sign for the Stranger on Folkwit Records.
Originally from Bristol, now based in Paris, Jesse has found success in France with countless gigs, features in top rock mag Les Inrockuptibles, his music in several movies including recent film De l’autre côté du lit. Jesse has toured Japan four times, most recently last October
One of the key members of cult Bristol band Moonflowers, who first came to attention with the indie hit Get Higher in 1990, Jesse has re-cently worked with some of modern folk’s new heroes, contributing along with Sean O’Hagan and Bonnie Prince Billie on Soy Un Caballo’s fantastic debut LP Les Heures de Raison. He can be found playing and touring as one half of This Is The Kit with partner Kate Stables. Morning Star shared bills with long time musical ally John Parish (P. J. Harvey, Sparklehorse), The National, Jeffrey Lewis, Bert Jansch, M Ward, Camera Obscura.
